Default Bigfoot coil ?

I,m currently using a Whites Spectrum xlt and noticed it has a program for using a bigfoot coil and would like to hear your opinions about the coil before I purchase one. How accurate are they, how deep they go, etc. Any help would be great.
Thanks

You may try the DFXONLY.com site and they are dedicated to the DFX but they have a discussion page on Coils and the Bigfoot Coil has some field use reports. Even though it's a different detector at least the premise of how it works should relate to the XLT. Hope this helps get some info from users of the coil.HH Bill

Default I love the Bigfoot!

Hi Folks!

I bought the bigfoot about three months ago, and wouldn't trade it for anything!
It's different: I got frustrated the first time I used it, and wanted to wrap it around the closest tree, but I gave it another chance and figured out to pinpoint.
It's the slickest thing since sliced cheeze! I can cover significantly more ground with it than a small 5" DD coil, or the stock 950.
The coil does have a bit less range than the 950, but still you can cover a crapload of ground with it.
The Bigfoot would be perfect for covering large amounts of ground, such as after the carnival comes to town and all the finds are on the surface.
It also seems to run better with the crappy soils we have here.
I pitted it against the 950 last week in a place that was the ultimate jackpot: Lots of stuff close to the surface, and the Bigfoot was MUCH better: Recovery rates much higher than the 950 due to the larger area I could cover, and the aggravation factor was less as the Bigfoot seemed to run more stable than the 950 with my same high performance program.
I've heard the Hotfoot might do the same thing the Bigfoot does with more range.

HH! -Tom
