Default xlt problems help

Today I was putting in a custom program I found on another site. I changed all the settings, saved, and named the program. Everything seemed to be working fine. I turned it off and headed out for a park. When i got there, I turned on my machine and no display. I get all the sounds I normally get when I turn it on but no display at all. I put a penny on the ground and it seemed to be working properly, but I cant get the menu or anything to display. Any help would be highly appreciated.

hmmm,

I used the XLT for 7 years, accually had that happen to me before and had to send it in for repairs.
Try this: Turn your unit on then remove your battery...wait 5 minutes or so then put your battery back in.
Also make sure your battery is fully charged. Try fresh batteries.

Keep me posted.

I did! I friend of mine who was familiar with the spectrum opened it up and found a loose wire running to my lcd screen. Haven't had the slightest problem since. Thanks.

Default LCD problems

I have also seen cases where the LCD goes full black. This can be caused by too much direct sun light on the screen, when it gets too hot it turns black. Get it shaded when this happens and it will return to normal.
