Bob,

Were you the one who made the post a while back about building a set of wireless phones?

I sure would like a set if they work good.

Being a little bit aged(70) and because I want to know what is happening around me,I use a different setup from hdphones.I bought a 11.00 mini-amp speaker from radio shack(277-1008C),a 2.50 cord to go from spkr with 1/4" plug,a .79 cent adapter to go from stereo to mono. The adapter plugs into any 1/4 recept on the detector, the cord into that, then the cord into the speaker. The speaker uses a 9v batt and has a volumn control. It is similiar to a pack of cigarrets and fits nicely into my shirt pocket. With the sound turned up,I'll hear signals you may not hear with phones.Anyway, works for me.To each their own.

Sorry I can't take credit for it.Got it from the guys out in AZ sometime ago.It helps to cut down on 'detector noise' caused by outside interference, also.
