Need info on this machine - its good and bad points. Shopping for a new or used pulse induction machine for salt water beaches. Thanks Joe

PI detectors are generally the best salt water beach machines since they see through the salt minerals and ignores it. The Surf PI Pro is one of the easiest and besty at doing this. Hot on gold rings and can even pick up chains a bit better.

I had a surfmaster and really didn't like it very much. It just seemed a little cheap in the way it was made. The gasket to seal out water got out of place a lot. It seemed to not work quite as well as the Fisher I later bought. I'm a big White's fan...own a DFX and XLT, etc....but not in this case.
That's my 2 cents worth.
