Smile DFX Signagraph question

When your reading the signagraph on the pos side with a good target, sometime's I get two bar's next to each other. sometimes one, does this have any meaning other than its a good target, and does the height of the bar mean anything, higher being more likely a good target or just a better signal?
So far I am likeing the DFX alot, give me better information on what I want to dig.
Thanks

I'm so sorry for the late reply. I will tell you what I know and I'm not and expert by any means. The sig graph is a great tool to let you know when to dig. I look at the bars all the time. This is what I think it is telling me. One solid bar very tall is a pretty postive id on the object just like your VDI # locking in. When you have several bars the object is made of different metals or rusty and casting off diffents sigs. This sig graph can also let you know when a good object is next to a bad one you will have a high tone in the headphones and bouncing number on the VDI but the sig graph will show you + bars and - bars the better and taller of the bars wich ever way it leans towrd like if the + bars where bigger and taller than the -bars you might have a nail next to a dime or something like that. I hope this helps. Again I'm not a expert and I'm sure someone will add more to this and correct me in areas

Later Will

Makes sense to me, I was wanting to go bury some targets side by side to see what kind of readings I would get, but We got hit with that tornado, didnt have any power or utility's for about a week and once we got back to normal it snowed :-( , lol, should be nice this weekend.
Thanks for the reply

Hi Mark,
When I owned the XLT the sgnagraph was my favorite tool.
I always set mine to 11 so it would display longer.

Just run air tests to see it in action. use iron along with coins also..play with it
