Default M6 and relic hunting

So far I have two days out with this machine for relics. First impressions are, CW bullets come under a very wide spectrum of things. All the way from Pulltabs to 25 cents and everything inbetween. Buttons go from 5 cents to copper pennies. Unlike the Prism I was using where the targets were always stable. With coins this machine was right on the money (no pun intended lol) the M6 will make you work for the relics. Even as you dig your hole the object will continue to change as you sweep your hole. And for reasons unknown to me I get alot of signals that just dissapear. Depth is alot better than the Prism's by a good couple of inches with the stock coil. After using this Machine and If I had alot of money to throw around I would keep this Machine for coin hunting, but buy a known relic hound Machine for relics. Just my two cents though, I'll post another one after I give it about a month of relic hunting.....HH.....Bill

My M6 does the same thing. I put a gold nugget on the ground and get a different vdi every time the coil passes over it. The only times it doesn't seem to waiver is if the target is iron or a hot rock. Coin targets id very good. If I get a 1.00 reading it is usally a beer can that has been smashed from top to bottom. I thought maybe this quirk was just MY detector, but must be all M6's.

For me it has been indeed astonished to suspend the production of the 6000 to favor of lM6
The 6000 unsurpassable VDI pointer has one…

Strange people in White's.

Default Getting it figured out.

After another week relic hunting with the M6, I'm finaly getting the kinks out. Although you will still hit alot of targets that switch between a good signal and Iron. The targets to dig are the one's that NEVER switch to Iron after acouple sweeps. My hunting partner use's a Minelab exp. II and now I'm finding just as many relic's as him. I know im missing some non iron relics by using it this way, I am sure that after I switch to the DD coil it will fix much of this.....HH......Bill

Bill,

I am going on the night shift starting Friday evening. That puts my days pretty free. Maybe we can set up a day next week to do a little relic hunting. Jon will be working but he will just have to miss out. Message me when you are available.

Kelvin
