Question??

Can anybody tell me anything that can help me get more dept on my White's IDX Pro, or any other advice you can give me.

One of the best things you can do to get all around better performance and depth from the IDX Pro is get the Mr Bill mods. A few things that hurt the IDX Pro is the threshold is too loud, and it has a fixed Ground Balance, and the Sensitivity adjustment is short of full max, meaning you can run full Sens and not cause instability in many places. The Mr Bill mods addresses all these issues and gives you a detector that will run the limits of it's capabilities, especially if you have changing ground conditions, like to change over to smaller coils, and want to hear the small threshold changes that are almost impossible with the threshold volume being so loud. I love mine and only wish it had 4 tone ID only because i mostly use it in trashy places. Here's the Mr Bill website if interested. And i'm not Mr Bill .

I have heard good things about the mods but haven't had much reason to go after it yet...I use IDX pro exclusively, and I have dug wheaties at 7+inches, bigger at deeper, but I don't have alot of areas where getting deeper in my main problem. Higher sensatively seems to help get the depth, soil issues constrains me in places, if the ground is clean, work slow, that mellow sound that tries to ring up good but bounces around on the ID meter like trash would is probably a deep target, if you are wanting to get deeper than this on the smaller targets (given the same soil conditions I have), I am not sure if it can be done with this machine, otherwise I am willing to take my chances against any other detector. Now throw in salt water or heavy mineralization, I would find another that would perform better in these conditions, but that is just my personal opinion on my experience.
