Default Ask Jimmy Sierra : The Plug Popper

I saw in one of your articles you mentioned your Target Buddy, but could not find it on web site. You have Plug Popper. Do you recommend using a plug cutter?

Hi Scott,
I have the seen the Plug Popper in use and it is very impressive. Greg Moscini of Trans Bay Detectors in Foster City introduced me to it in various forms years ago, but I always thought most of them were too heavy and cumbersome as well as being expensive. However, I finally came across a fellow who could make one lighter wt and more practical as well as being almost half the price of others. That is why I finally added it to my line of products.

Greg has used it on a number of our training tapes and Cds . With experience you can really get a coin out pretty fast and without destroying turf. It is only appropriate to use on moist dirt, particularly in lawn areas that are kept moist. Dry dirt crumbles and root structure is lost. On a well watered lawn, the turf root system remains intact and never turns brown .

As for the Target Buddy, I havent got the slightest idea what this is. We have never had a product with that name in our line and I have never heard the name before that I can recall. I know I am getting older by the day, but I dont think I have quite lost it yet.
Good luck, Jimmy
