I use the XLT and in need of new headphones. Looking at Maxiphone 2 -- or Koss E9000. What would the best for me? thank you Alan

Hi Alan, We sell both and I think I can give you an unbiased answer to your question. As for audio reception both are about the same although the Maxiphone has the highest impedance, (150 ohms) hence, theoretically the most sensitive.It also has a limiter switch to prevent a sharp increase in volume, which could be uncomfortable if you were to encounter a large metal object. It also is by far the most comfortable as the ear cups go completely around the ear, making long duration use easy. The 9000,(100 ohms), has comfort equivalent to the Maxiphone and very good audio , but its down side is that the cable is far too long and the volume controls are on the cable. The Maxiphone has the volume click stop one on each ear cup and a custom made shorter cable. Overall I would lean to the Maxiphone II. for the above reasons. I use it myself and so do all my friends and not just because my handsome face is on the side...... best regards, Jimmy
