Name: Kenneth
I own this model: Whites XLT E- Series Hi Jimmy !!! Is the Hot Shot better suited for relc hunting ? I am a coin shooter myself and would like to know if I can use the 12" coil for that purpose for the really deep coins in fields and such ? Thanks Hi Ken, The 12 inch Hotshot is designed to go deeper than the 950 coil which is what you would expect from a larger coil ., Although air tests usually show 1.5 to 2 inches or so increase in depth on coin sized objects, natural targets in undisturbed ground will usually give greater increases in depth. It is optimized not only for coins but for larger targets where the depth increase is greater. We used it in England when it was introduced and everyone was excited about it. We find small relics, buckles etc and very small hammered coins no bigger than your finger nail. One of the most successful of the Hunters on our trip to UK was Mike Martin. He found a gold coin with his Hotshot. You can email him at paleomike@aol.com for a testamonial if you wish. Jimmy |
