Default Ask Jimmy Sierra: Hotshot Dfx/mxt Coin Programs

Name: Ricky
I own this model: DFX
Mr. Sierra,
I would like to thank you for taking the time out to talk to me yesterday and your much needed advice. I have an additional request of you. Could you possibly email me with the program and settings that you think would be ideal for coin hunting with the DFX / MXT Hotshot coil?Mainly to use as a baseline and work from there with my soil conditions.
Thanks ,Ricky

Hi Ricky, actually I use the Hotshot with the same programs I use with the 950 coil, except for the sweep speed, as I mentioned , which I set on (1). I usually use the Relic program with 15 khz as the single frequency. On occasion I use dual frequency with Best Data if the ground is somewhat mineralized. I try to get the preamp to at least 3 ( only 4 if it is stable) then I set the AC at 70-72 no more. I accept 1 to 94 and reject 95. If there is mineralized ground I add in some negative numbers. 0 to -25 or -30. I always use VCO audio for pinpointing. I use the DC gain at around 35 to 40 no more. If I feel courageous I use Mixed Mode, move slowly and reach for some iffy targets if I am trying for deep stuff. That is about it.
Best regards.Jimmy
