Default Used Detector For Beach Hunting Part 2

NO OFFENSE GUYS BUT NOT EVERYONE HAS $500.00 TO A $1000.00 TO SPEND ON A SALT-WATER DETECTOR. Over the Holidays I bought a Whites 4900D PRO PLUS AND TOOK IT TO A GALVESTON SALT WATER BEACH YESTERDAY. It worked great! I set it up 2 different ways. 1st I used GEB MAX and set it on SAT. It went deep but there was a lot of falsing! So I re-set it to TR discriminate and balanced out the wet salt thru the TR discriminator side! This was a lot better and smoother operation! I found a lot of deep clads and deep penneys and a lot of other junk in a suppossedly worked out area! We have a few hunters down here who are really trying hard to make our beaches hunted out. Not as many signals as in years past but it is hard to throughly work miles and miles of open beach! ALSO AT LEAST FOR GALVESTON, on the beach I've seen most of the different brands especially Garrett,Fisher and Whites using various models of their discriminators!. But when one starts looking at what is being used out in the surf, it is mostly P.I.'s Garretts and Whites. This is a statement of what I have seen and is not an opinion! And I"m sure each locality will be different! JOE

Default Used Metal Detector For Beach Hunting Part 2

I ALSO USED A NAUTILUS LF DEEPSEEKER ON THE WET SALTWATER BEACH AND IT DID GOOD TOO. Some people do not know that if your detector has a TR DISC mode one can use the TR side to balance or zero out the salt water effects! This method works out great! JOE
