i want to get back into the hobby. do you guys think the prizm5 is worth the extra $ compared to the 4? how deep will it go typically with the 9.5 " coil? thanks

I had a Prizm III and it was a great machine. The V should do just fine.

Hi and welcome to TQ! Alot is relative as to depth; soil conditions, conductivity of target, size of target, etc.

I would go for the V mainly for the extra tones, they can tell you alot!

Welcome to the site Certified Male! Glad to have you drop in. I have read some very nice reports about the Prizm units. The V will do all you ask of it, Beale.
