Default Thanks

I've been running an XLT for two or three years now--not with any regularity, BUT I've been learning more and more about the machine and really like it.

THIS thread about forgetting shallow and digging only deep targets has been the single best bit of hunting information I've found yet. I've not tried it yet, but have a roadside park to explore this very evening.

I've dug a few hundred clads and coppers, but just found my first silver a few days ago. It's a 1901 barber dime in great shape found at 1.5 inches--area had been cleared by a dozier and coin was protected by pocket on top of large limestone rock. No other coins found in area--and we HAVE been looking. Keep digging 30-30, 9mm, and 12gauge casings.

I'm hot to dig some more silver!

Thanks for posting this Roper. I printed it out and will be trying this at a homesite I am detecting. It was inhabited since 1905 and I think it will be a perfect candidate for your settings. Should they work verbatim on my XLT?
