Default The swipe of the swing!!

Is it normal for my detector to go off on every swing. I sure wish I could find someone in tally to show me a few pointers... Don't worry, I don't give up easy....

What kind of detector do you have? I really am just wondering.

I do agree with Homefire. It sounds like your sens may be to high, or your GB needs redoing. One other thing to mention. If you have a coil cover on the detectoe. When was the last time you took it off and cleaned the coil? It may have sand/dirl under it and falsing? Just a thought, Beale.

Swing speed may be an issue here especially if you are getting signals at the end of each swing. Making contact with the ground mid swing will cause your detector to false especially if you are not keeping the coil level to and at the same height from the ground.
If you are getting this falsing in the wet sand then it's probably the salt water giving you a false signal.
Drop the Sens. and check the G.B. to make sure your detector is running stable.

You can have too much of a good thing,

Sometimes with my PI on the beach..it will pick up my scoop while I walk..It is that sensative..have to alternate my arm swing and the way I walk..Also maybe you could be picking up your shoes..steel toes will make it sound off if you are to close...Buster,,....
