I checked there site didn't see mine but seen some that look close but they are ancient egypt?

It looks greek.
I'll look it up later tonight.
Are those spots on it copper? Is it plated?
Also can you tell me where the coin came from or where you bought it?

I don't think it is plated and no it doesn't appear to be copper I put it under my metal detector and it measured like silver I got it at an estate sale with some other coins found it at the bottom of the box

Default greek coin

Hi Arky, I have a coin on a neckless that I gave to my friend and it is the same head inprint as your's. It came form Greece. I dont know the yearbut I feel it is mabye late 40s early 50s. I hope this is a help Curt.

I think it might be one of the Ptolemy of Egypt
The year, I believe, would be on the left side.
Struck slightly off flan, so it's hard to see the full date.
Can you make out the latter on the left?

Do have a slight concern about authnticity.
Certain signs lead me to think this coin was cast.
Although I do tend to be a little suspicious of many coins these days with the abundance of fakes hitting the market these days.

I can post it elsewhere for an expert if you would like me to.
