50 coin day: Hooked on the Lord

From the land of the Bluenose....had the pleasure of taking out a newbie to a local park to try her hand at digging. Thought we would start off with an easy spot by a slow meandering river.
Of course for Johnnie White Pail and I this was a blast going out with someone wearing purple Crocs and trying to dig with a gyprock knife!
After Monica learned the different sounds she was on her own as JWP and I continued to dig. While by the river a "damsel in distress" approached us as she had backed too far down the boat launch into the river where her two dogs were going a swimming and got stuck. She approached us and we came to her aid but not before JWP climbed up the embankment that we were digging on and pulled his calf muscles. After getting him squared away I instructed the girl how to get "unstuck" while feeling like the main course for her two man eating Rockweiller dogs.
With this done we adjourned to Tim's for a brew and a few timbits as Monica recounted her 13 coin day and JWP his 30 coin outing.
As for this bouy I found the Lord (pendent),silver ring..flattened, Mickey Mouse (pendent) a key, fishing lure with a lead, sinker and swivel,metal "Runts" box and 51 coins @$5.79
Of course Jwp, a White's swinger ended up at the Cobequid Medical Center and is facing the next few weeks in a walking cast as I hit the parents for a family bbq. Jeez Mom was heavy into the corn as I was into the Bud! Think Mom stopped there too!
Kayla also was into the feed mode as Tara's blueberry pie was being devoured as my nephew Nathan was chilling.
All in all a nice outing with yet a nother newbie learing how to dig a hole and fill it!
