Default Lunch Break Today

I told a guy I work with that I bought a MD and he asked if I could bring it in and show him. I brought it in today and we went to a park just down the street from work. He has never picked one up in his life, but seemed very interested. I had him swing it a few times to get a feel for it and had him pinpoint something. We dug a few holes and found junk the first 3 times. Then, we were going to walk across the park, but I got a solid quarter tone, so I just had to dig it. I told him (quite confidently), "This is going to be a quarter." Wouldn't you know it, I dug down about 2" and there it was. He was quite impressed. We had to go back to work, but I think he might just buy one for himself!!!

Please keep in mind that I'm new. I know that one clad quarter is nothing, but I sure was happy that we didn't just find junk. Plus, a quarter within just 10 or so minutes isn't bad based on my past experiences. It was a nice lunch.

WTG Pris, its always fun to show someone how the detector works...and to be able to call the find and be correct, is great. I''ve done that before...but I called it wrong - hehe oh well.
Good Luck
HH

Now you have done it, you may have created a mding addict. Way to go.. It is amazing how finding something in the buried in the dirt is so addicting. I know I am hooked for life.

You are a great ambassador.

Sounds like a great lunch. Just think of it this way, you made .25 for doing 10 minutes of something you really enjoy, what more could you ask for.

Default Hello Pris

WTG glad to hear that went good...not being negative but i would let him know sometimes it isn't that easy...sometimes it might just be trash depending on the site and history...but you did show him that you know your machine and that takes time a swinging it day after day, month after month....good going i do think you got him hooked....
