Default Here is my What-is-it.

Found this the other day and am now getting around to posting it. Just wonder if anyone knows what it is.

Question Whatsit ?

How large is this? I was thinking of a lid to a ladies compact, but the name Alfred engraved on it has me stumped.

Default Item

Kelvin, how big is the item? Looks like a lid from a personal snuff can.

The measurement on this thing is 3 and half inches across and about an eighth of an inch thick. I haven't found anything else yet that might go with it. I am gonna keep hitting this area and see if I can pull out some more silver and some other part of this item. Pappy if that is a snuff can lid it would be a big snuff can. I also had someone ask if it might be some type of buckle. The back is smooth with no sign of any type of buckle catch. It does look like maybe some type of lid.
