Default Found a quarter. It's black! Help!

I found a quarter in my yard today. It's black. I can't even read the date. Is there any other way to clean besides tumbling? I don't have a tumbler.

I have it soaking in oil now. Really not sure if it's even old or silver. Just want to be sure before I go spend it!

Give it the ole "drop test" It should have a clear ring if it's silver.

Default Cleaner

Donna, you can go to K-Mart or Wal-Mart and get some Tarn-X silver cleaner ( LIQUID) ..If it's clad you can clean it and spend it...If It's Silver it will be clean and you can save it.
