Default More Silver and Another First

I was planning to work today but have been up since 3AM with my youngest sick with a fever and vomiting. Finally got her to keep some medicine down around 10:30 and got her to bed sound asleep. Went out to get some sunlight and fresh air and walked over to the lot next door where I have been working on lately. It took me about five minutes to walk there. Dug a couple pieces of foil walking across my yard. I was thinking that I still need to find a silver quarter and my first signal rang out as a 50c piece. I was then thinking, now it would be great to find another half but probably another large copper or brass fitting. Dug a plug and it was still in the hole under some roots. Cut roots and scooped out more dirt. Now it was in the pile. Swept handfuls of dirt across the coil and finally got a tone. Picked around in the dirt until I found a round disc and wiped it with my thump and out popped a beautiful eagle. My next thought was, "No Way!" and then "Thank you Jesus!" This is my first Walking Liberty Half and a nice 1942 with no mintmark. This has been a great week: 2 silver dimes and now my second half. I am thinking of raking some of this area because there is a couple of inches of leaves and decayed matter in the area. That might help me find even deeper coins. Sorry if I am rambling today. Lack of sleep. Happy Hunting All and hope your week has been good as mine.
