Default Still Working One Yard

So much surface garbage, Yet enough older items to keep me going. I've been working this monster for three days, Thinking if I remove the surface trash the older stuff will appear. Newer change still being found, 1897 indian penny, That's the result of working the layer's. Then I found a chunk of bent lead and was about to toss it in the trash untill I noticed it was painted, Wiped off more dirt and it looks like a lead indian figure, Then I found a Navy button, 37-D wheat, old matchbox car, more marbles, a small metal airplane, Look's like a WW II bomber, Then another stickpin with a stone, I've been finding stickpins everyday, Then the ever present scrap metal, But it adds up. Last summer I cashed all my scrap in for $163.00. Enjoy the PICS....

Great finds! Good thing you took a second look at that figurine before throwing it out. That's a good lesson for all of us. Sometimes that dirt makes everything look like junk. Shine it up and it's good as new!

WTG Coinhead you are surely doing a lot of swinging in OKC. I finally got out for a couple of hours only found five clad pennies and a metal pick-up truck looks like it might be from the fifty's lots of shotgun shells.(hunted in the woods) going to have to find some other place that one has been hunted to death about half of the shotgun shells had been dug by someone else and left on the ground. Oh well, I got some fresh air exercise and practice. Have a great day and the best or luck. Richard
