Default I apologize for my lack of posts.

I have been laying off in making posts and reading forums due to a bad taste I got from one of the other forums. I don’t need to bore the TQ readers with the details but will say this particular forum had an agenda to only make money and does not put the participants first as TQ does.

I have been hunting hard and making some decent finds here in Virginia. I actually just returned from a DIV (Diggin in Virginia) hunt that was held in Culpeper Virginia. There were 300 participants that hunted 2,500 acres on a private farm Friday through Sunday.

I saw some spectacular finds made including six CS tongue wreaths and a few Sword Belt plates. A lot of bullets were found of various calibers along with CS and Union buttons.

I was fortunate enough to find a Confederate Reed fuse as well as 35-40 bullets, a few buttons and shell fragments. I also won (I have never won anything) the plaque that I have posted a picture of.

The ground was supper hot so I opted to use my MXT as it handles heavily mineralized soil well.

I hope all of you at TQ has had to opportunity to get out and do some hunting.

Ed

Default In my post I have a picture of the Reed Fuse I found.

It was used to detonate explosive devises such as cannon balls and shells. I have found and attached a picture of a CS Wreath buckle, wish I had found it LOL.

Hi Ed and welcome back to TQ. Wow looks like you had a great time and thank you for the pics. I often wonder what it would be like to dig for CW relics. Ok Ed I hope you post more goodies and God's Blessings to you.
