A Good Friday Find
I got permission on Good Friday to hunt in a back yard near an old Civil War fort in Havelock, NC. I got a deep copper reading and dug about 8 inches and found a 1865 2-cent coin. It was a Good Friday!! That morning in another location, I found a silver ring with 15 diamonds in it. For the week, I found a total of 165 coins including 10 wheats, 1946 silver dime and a WWII Army hat pin. It was a good week.

Good finds there Mark. If your in the Havelock area then you should seek some permissions to hunt around the Newport area. Some really good Civil War finds made there!!
