Default Finally got back to battlefield

After 20 plus years of absence I am back in the hobby and got back to the battlefield a while back. It's not like it once was, finding hundreds of relics on each trip. The picture is of what I found in about 2 hours of searching but I am satisfied. Since those years long ago the battlefield has been hunted to death and I was surprised to do as well as I did. The Garrett CX+ did a good job of locating the relics and initially I am satisfied with my decision to buy it. Still pinpointing is not as accurate as the old Fisher 555D but a small camp shovel (4" blade) usually got the target out of the ground on the first try. The target depth was usually around 6-8" which is normal for this area.

I plan to go back and hunt some areas that I have never tried before and see if there is anything "off the beaten path". The two hours really wore out my old legs but it was still as exciting as it used to be!

Here is a picture of the days finds. I hope I get this picture uploaded right.

Happy hunting,
WS4V

WS4V, Good to see you got back into MD'ing. Thats some pretty nice finds for a place that has been hunted to death.
