Default 2 More "Firsts" at the new site

I went back to the spot thats been so good to me the last week and I managed 2 more firsts. I got my first 3 cent coin 1857, and my first shield nickel thats very worn but it has the rays between the stars so it has to be 1866 or 1867, I also got an 1880 Indian and a 1917 Merc. and another small Infantry button.
As Nighthunter suggested I will give you a little detail on the site we are hunting. It is a wooded area that is a little hard hunting. I found out about this site by using a combination of things such as talking to people, a little bit of history of the area and Google Earth. From what I was told there were many Civil War encampments in this area, but finding them is Tough. I looked to see where there were a few things. Water source, a good view of the surrounding area, and access in and out. I'm sorry I can't give exact locations but alot of time and research goes into finding sites, so it would'nt be fair to my hunting partners as this is a combined effort between all of us because we share info on sites that we find and we have invited people that have "Trashed" the sites to the point where we had to fill their holes and pick up their garbage, so we decided to keep it limited to the 5 of us that hunt together all the time.
I hope this doesn't make me sound selfish.
Thanks for looking
Ken

You don't sound selfish at all to me. I totally understand the work you put into your research. I think it's just helpful for everyone to know what types of places and how you found them. I know that it is helpful for me to know what types of places you look for.

Thanks for letting us know!!

I see no problem with keeping it under wraps. If I were in your shoes, I'd do the same. Some great "Firsts"! Hope you have many more!
