CW Button [maybe] and a pile of clad

I hit an old landmark in a nearby town and found this Button. Might be a replica.
Any info on it would be appreciated. Good hunting to all.

Here's one i found up here in iowa , this is an infantry officers coat button, on the back it says . scovill mfg. co. waterbury conn. They were the mfg;ers of all civil war buttons at the time , a government contract , so i'm told .

very cool button....hope it turns out to be from the CW.....I lived about 15 miles north of Waterbury Conn. Waterbury was and still is a very big machining and metel works city..
