Default He finds ring number 3!!!!!!

I decided to head back out again tonight to the park down the street.Hit the woodchip area and found about $.16 and three rubber balls which my three year old will love.I headed over to the older equipment and searched near the kiidie swings but was getting alot of trash signals.I then headed over to the monkey bars and got a real good tone so I decided to dig.I hunt alot at night with no backlight so I go by tones now which I think is the best thing I have done to better myself with my machine.Cut the plug and flipped it over and there in the hole was a ring.I tried so hard not to go straight home.I search a little bit more around there and went over to the baseball field and searched around home base.No luck there so I headed home to clean it up.It has a big light blue stone in the center surrounded by small diamonds.Inside the band it says 18k G.F. which means gold filled. But a ring is a ring and now I have found a ring 3 out of the last 5-6 times I have gone out with my new Eagle Spectrum.Camera will hopefully be here tomorrow so I will post a pic of all finds up to now.Happy hunting to all!!

Nice job paulb - I'd love to see the pix. I've been doing a lot of night hunting lately as well and found that you really do get to learn your instrument's sounds this way. I don't have a backlight on my ACE 250, so I rely on a head lamp, but I ony turn it on when I hear a good tone and an ready to dig.

Yeah Joe it really helps you learn to listen to tones more than looking at the display icons. The only time I look at the display is if I have a tone that sounds good one way and broken or gone the other. Then I just look at the VDI Numbers.
