Default Finally a school yard that has something besides cents!

School yards in my area aren't exactly good at producing quarters. Most are adjacent to city parks and a few have playgrounds. The highest number (to date) from any of them is 87(found over a 1.5 year period), and that is one where the park has had yearly firework displays and a nice sand playground.

Anywho, detected a school that just has grass and a baseball field that I assume has never been detected. In just 7 trips I have broken the 100 quarter mark (***106). I had the Ace set to discrim on dimes and up, and sometimes just quarters. Very few pocket spills, I would say at least 80 quarters were by their lonesome - no other coins (I turned the discrim off when finding a quarter to see if there was a pocket spill) were around.

Anyway, that's about it. ***106 quarters, 93 dimes, 14 nickels and 46 cents. The odd finds were some dog tag (no year) and a very well worn away toy car (just the body remained).

***Update - after running the coins through the tumbler I see I finally found my first dollar coin (Sacagawea)

Next up: hitting tot lots and finding yet more junk rings. If someone would just lose one nice ring in my area

That's a great yield of coin! People have found some great finds in playgrounds. One detectorist found a $2500 diamond ring near a set of swings. It's rare, but it happens.....

I have no trouble finding rings worth $0.25
