Default Made a young couple happy

Wife and myself took off to Myrtle Beach, SC for a weekend get away this past weekend. Took my Ace 150 along for the ride, to do a little MD'ing if I found time.

Sunday morning while sitting on the balcony, we noticed a young couple on the beach, raking their hands through the sand. The young pregnant lady was very upset about something.
I went down and ask them if they had lost something, and the lady said "yes, my wedding ring" while fighting back tears. I said I'll be right back.
Went to the car and came back with my detector, and in less than 5 minutes, I was holding a BEAUTIFUL ring with 8-10 diamonds set in a white gold band.

Both of these young adults were very happy to say the least. They thanked me and I said I was glad to help.

My wife, still sitting on the balcony, said when I walked off, they were hugging each other for dear life.
A few minutes later, the couple spotted us on the balcony, and yelled for us to meet them down stairs. We got on the elevator, and they were there when we stopped on the 1st floor. They said they wanted to say thanks again, and after getting a hug from the girl and a handshake from the young man, they offered to buy us dinner. I couldn't take their money, and told them I was just glad they got the ring back. We didn't get the their names, but they were happy looking young adults.

After telling my daughter about the event, she said "Karma will pay you back". Well it must have been bad "Karma" because we had car trouble all the way home from the beach.

I am going to try to post pics of the ring and the couple that lost it.

Default A Job Well Done!

The act of kindness is it's own reward. If something goood comes your way then it is a nice bonus.

I try to live up to my dog's opinion of me, it's not always easy.
