Keep the faith! Sometimes lost treasures DO come home.

When I was in grade school, my dad bought my sisters and I each a silver necklace with a little pendant attached. In the center of the pendant was a small diamond chip. Not fancy or flashy by any means, but it was my first diamond and I thought I was IT.

Well, I had taken the necklace off and put it on top of the stereo. In those days we had console stereos that were like a piece of furniture and the top opened up to reveal the turntable. Well, I lifted up the lid and my necklace slid off. Fell right down into the heat register!! I was pretty broken hearted but knew it was my own fault. For so many years, I knew that my first diamond necklace was down there in the furnace somewhere.

A couple of years ago, my parents had their furnace replaced. My mom mentioned the necklace to the workers and lo and behold! They found my necklace which had been down there for almost 40 years.

So, if you find those charms you may make someone's day for sure. I wish you luck in honing in on them.

I know why you haven't found them yet....because you are Mr. Sliver NOT mr. gold !! Just teasing, if they are there you will be the one to find them, Good Luck.
That's a really cool story, janiece. Glad you got your first diamond back.
