Even more finds today at the old school
Went this morning before light to get some diggin in before church. The old school site has been good to me this year. I was there about an hour and a half. I dug 4 wheat pennies, all from the 40's and 50's, a 1959 nickle, a few modern pennies, some what-nots, and this very cool, 3 blade, pocket knife. It was about 6 inches down. I finally met the gentleman who owns the lot, only spoke on the phone prior. He was nice, his chow and something mix tried to eat me.

great digs man
really cool digs... i love pocket knives.... put a strong magnet in a metal coffee can, fill it with 10w30 motor oil. suspend the knive from a string. takes a lil while but cleans em up good.... ocasionaly take out and wipe off and return to oil till blades can open... its slow but it works. happy hunting

Thanks Bill, I'll try the oil in the can with the magnet thing. Sounds like an explosion waiting to happen knowing my luck.
