I found a coin that I've not been able to ID until yesterday. I found out it's a 1760 Irish Half Pence...
That beats my oldest coin by 26 years... Sweet! Here's what they look like not being dug...George II - Halfpenny - 1760 -Bill

Thanks dooby, bigjohn & Coin Hunter! Pris, I agree it has seen alot better days. It was found in a farm field where a early 1800's church stood. So, it's probably been whacked by the plow more than once. rip, I have quite a few early 1800 and late 1700's coins that aren't in to good of shape either. I have a 1786 Connecticut Cooper that is just barely readable. They nice to find even without knowing the exact year. That's my first Irish coin of any sort. I only know it's an 1760 due to the base of the bust being slightly different from previous years. I did find a 1860's Italian 5 about a month ago at a different site. Thanks for all of the replies!!!
-Bill
