Default 2 more 'keeper' nickels and wheats

Today I went to the same spot as where I found the Barbers yesterday. No more silver came out of there today, but the next time I hit this area I'm planning on using the 5" coil. I didn't walk away empty handed though. I found a 1929 D Buffalo and 1917 S Wheat cent.

I thought I'd try another place. Not as old, but looked promising. The site was heavily trashy, so made a note to return here as well with the small coil. I walked away with a 1944 D Jefferson War Nickel (in great shape) and a 1940 D Wheat.

Thanks for lookin!

Sorry.. I didn't bounce to digital today at all. I've been noticing that I go there less and less. I'm pretty much on SmartFind the whole time. Normally nickels on SmartFind are in the bottom, just right of middle, and the cursor is half buried.

When I find War Nickels, I find that the cursor is in the same line on the vertical axis (just right of the center line), but the cursor is fully visible. This usually indicates beaver tail pull tabs, but the depth and tone was telling me nickel all the way. It usually does the multi-frequency jingle in the headphones vs single tone.

Hope this helps
