Default 1903 and 1906!

I've been swamped with work the last few days, but was able to sneak out today for an hour. My mind wasn't in the 'zone' like I usually like to be when I'm swinging the coil, but I was able to pull out a couple of keepers.

1903 Indian Head
1906 V-Nickel

The Indian Head was pressed up against a old curb and saw some abuse over the years being next to the curb and some rocks. The V-Nickel (another site all together) came out in nice shape. I'd say this is the best V-Nickel I've been able to recover this year. You can even read the 'Liberty'.

Thanks for looking

Default Sweet V!

I have to say that is the best looking V nickel I have ever seen come out of the ground. Every one I have ever dug has been VERY brown - rusty looking, except when I found two stuck together, then only one side was in good shape.

You may not have been in the zone, but you must have a good "auto-pilot".

Good finds!

It was in a fairly 'neglected' side of town.. so I think there isn't much fertilizer or water going on. I tend to find coins in the worst shape in nicer lawns.
