Default new hot spot -- wheats and buffalos

Went for a good hunt today. I've skimmed this spot over the years... never really taking any time here. Since I knew that my efforts were lack luster at best here, I was hoping that I'd find a few keepers if I put some effort into it. This was the first time with the new detector, so I was optimistic.

The hunted turned out great! Many targets, in fact I ended because I was running out of time, not targets. I'm excited to return.. maybe later this evening, or tomorrow.

My finds...

1910 Wheat
1910 Wheat
1912 Wheat
1914 Wheat
1919 S Wheat
1924 S Wheat
1945 S Wheat
1918 S Buffalo
1919 Buffalo (but it could be 1929, definitely ends with 9)

Thanks for looking!

Default Nice haul

This site certainly looks like it need more attention.
With all the early wheats, it seems there should be an IH or two as well.

Agreed. This area is really close to where I found the Shield and IH/Vs in the past.. so I'm hoping something a little older will come up. I'll definitely be returning with the smaller coil. I think I covered the area 'fairly' well with the 8", but want to focus in on a few parts with the 5" stealth.

The ground is really nice to dig and want to get as much action on it before things start to get rock hard dry.

Thanks!

I'm always amazed at how fine some folks recovered copper looks. Around here, the ground conditions corrode the crap out of it. Great to see that doesn't seem to be the case everywhere. Congrats on the great finds! Keep hitting that area until you can't turn up the sensitivity any further!
