Day 2 - 1877cc!
Day two (first full day) of my MDing get-away.
I traveled to and stayed in Fort Madison, IA. There are several 1 block size parks that looked prime due to the old buildings surrounding them. I started with Central park, hunted for two hours and only managed to turn up on wheat. (1948), plus: (5) quarters (6) dimes (2) nickels (16) cents (1) wheat cent A tad dissapointing, but moved on to Old Settlers park, which had even older structures surrounding it. After finding only two bullets and about 5 memorial pennies in the first hour, I was starting to think that it was going to be a bust, but I got a marginal dime signal at 3", at the curb area in a corner by the street and was surprised to turn up this seated dime, (1877cc)! I didn't find much else even after hunting for another couple of hours. ($0.38 clad) and one 1941 wheat, and a nice old marble. Still, this was definitely the highlight of the day.

Man.. that seated is awesome!!!!! I'm still waiting for my first seated coin. Way to go!

Great find! I always love to see seated coins in the hole. I found a 1876CC seated dime a little while ago. It's my only CC mint mark coin too.
