Default My most embarassing moment

As you know with my husbands illness we have been out of commission for a while. Well' I coudn't take it anymore. I called the minister and asked if I could detect at the church yard. I found a few new coins and thought I was doing well. Then that wonderful signal came. In my mind I was thinking Ring, Old watch, Gold coin Yippee. I started digging down down down and there was a shiny almost brass or copper Item staring at me.I could not tell what it was and I could not get it to move.sooo I put that sharp trowel under it and tried to pop it out. Well guess what water shot up at me and more water filled the hole. The church is 150 years old and apperently the basement still has copper pipes. I had to call the minister back to tell him what I did. He was so nice about it and told me not to worry. Last night at revival service He so lovingly told 200 people the story about the lady looking for lost treasure and how she was baptised instead. I wanted to crawl out of that tent.........

You saw the sin of your ways, huh? hehe That's a great story! I have found pipes before, too, but didn't get a face full of anything. You must have really been putting some pressure on that copper "item" to get it out of the hole. Thanks for the story!

LOL pretty good story. Thanks for sharing. I am just picturing you digging then trying to get that item out and "Woosh!" face full of water.

Default Baptism by Water!!!

Baptism by Water!!! Guess it could have been worse.. It could have been a gas line and then you would have ended up in a hot situation.

Mine was absent mindedly going into the "ladies" room at a church social by mistake..

Great story, Gordiesgirl.
And it appears to me you have a really great minister
with a good sense of humor and forgiveness

That is one fear I have to do exactly what you did. I think about it when I'm out, and realize one day, I may do the same. At least you were able to get some laughs out of it. I guess your now "Born Again" lol.
