Talking My 1st Clad and "mystery" object

After not finding anything my 1st two times out, I was determined to not leave empty handed on my next trip out. The 1st local park I hit up, I didn't find much after an hour and a half or so. A dime and this "mystery" object. It showed up quarter on my MD. I think it might have been something nailed into a tree at one point in time, not sure though.

Later in the day I decided to go out to yet another local park this time with roommate in tow. I found 5 dimes, 3 pennies, and 3 quarters all within a small area. I can't even describe how excited I got when I saw the 1st quarter "pop" out of the ground! I don't know if it's possible to be even more addicted to MD than I was before, but I think I am

Next day I met up with member Pris and we did some MD in a park local to her. My haul for the 2 hours there was 8 pennies, 2 nickels (my 1st nickels) and 1 quarter. Not to mention having a blast with a new friend!!

I've attached some photos for y'all to see. I hope this will bring some encouragement to the newbies in the group like me. Stuff is out there, you just gotta take the time to learn your machine, give it time, and do some research too!

Cheers

Default Pole tag

utility company tag to mark a pole.... phone, cable, and power companies each have a number that is assigned to every pole and pedestal. that is how they locat poles on their maps. (they are called pedestals for underground utilities.) what you have there my friend is a utility companys version of a dog a tag
