Default 1910 Canadian 10 cent coin

Got an hour of detecting in at the park today, found myself a 1910 Canadian 10 cent coin.
That small coil and pinpointer sure makes a difference in locating the good stuff!

Just an FYI, I looked it up and yes it is silver 92.5% silver, 7.5% copper. Looks like Canada used silver until 1968. However the new coins contain a different amount of silver.

1967 -1968 2.33 g 18.034 mm 50% silver 50% copper
1920 -1967 2.00 g 18.034 mm 80% silver 20% copper.
1910 - 1919 2.33 g 18.034 mm 92.5% silver 7.5% copper
1858 - 1910 2.32 g 18.034 mm 92.5% silver 7.5% copper

Any silver coins is always a very nice find. COngrats

Thanks for the info, I had looked it up also.
I really need to find myself a book on numismatics, I use to have one a long time ago, but cannot find it now.

also, not all '68's are silver. Those minted after August 1, 1968 were Nickel.
