I went out this morning to try my ACE 250...I searched some trails around a water supply lake near the house. (A lot of people fish there). I found several things, nothing extraordinary or worth anything. Just for post sake, it was three lead fishing weights, an old bolt, an old pen, a nail, the brass top off a shotgun shell, a four inch metal bar that looked like it had been severed off of something. I also found two rocks that set of the ACe 250 like crazy, I can't determine why or what each contains that caused the 250 to go nuts. If its not raining, will be out again tomorrow...

Sounds like a good start, we all dig our share of junk, I had a nail pouch full of pull tabs and bottle caps today !!!
Throw a penny on the ground and listen to the sound you Ace250 makes, should be what I like to call a "double" bell tone, remember that sound, I like to call in the "money" tone !!! Congrats on the digs !!! |

Digging all signals at first is a great way to learn your detector; And like Dooby suggested, throw some coins down to see where they hit on your meter and hear what each one sounds like.
We all dig a lot of trash; part of the game
