Default Finds from the past 2 days

I went huntin' on my lunch yesterday and today. Yesterday I found 2 clad quarters in the same hole, 2 dimes and 2 pennies.

Today I found a half of a dime (cut in half), a nickel, 2 pennies and 1 canadian 1945 penny. It's my first foreign coin!!!

A nice man walked up to me and was asking questions about the MD and how it worked, etc. He then went to his truck and brought back a handful of silver dimes from the 1800s!! They weren't in the best shape but I really wanted him to drop a few . He was interested in what I was going to find, so I showed him the canadian penny as I was leaving and told him he was my good luck charm, today.

I second Boobie on that wanting to know where he got them. I'd love an answer like, oh they were just kinda laying on the ground over that way. I think I'd trip over my MD running to the spot he he he. Maybe a new spot for us to MD?

Congrats on the 1st foreign coin. You can use your foreign coin bag now, YAY!

Cheers

I asked the guy where he got the silver dimes and he said that he doesn't remember...he said they were in a lockbox that he had and hadn't looked in it for four or more years. I almost think he must have taken them from someone. I think I would have remembered about 25 to 30 silver dimes and where I got them. He was wanting to know if I knew where he could find out how much they're worth. He seemed nice enough, though, so who knows.

Congrats on the finds, pris !!!

I had an uncle with an old glass water jug full of pennies, I remember as a child dumping out that jug and playing with the funny looking "indian" pennies, my uncle passed away in the 60's and dad told me my aunt took the pennies to the bank and cashed them in ?!?!?!
