Over the last week, I have gotten back to the ballroom lot twice. Most of the two-thirds of the lot that will be paved first, has been rolled flat after stipping 6 inches to three feet off the top. There is a fairly small area left that had not yet been steam-rolled hard.
The cool thing is they have stipped off all the surface coins and junk that just gets in the way of the good stuff, so very few signals. When I did get a signal though, it was almost always an older coin, (or decaying iron).
Last Thursday - One more merc. (1942) and this Tuesday was a three silver day! Fairly worn 1929 Standing quarter (at least it has a readable date), and two more mercs, ('35 and '37). My total is now 28 silvers ($5.65 face) from this lot.
I stopped by tonight on the way home from another hunting spot, and they are starting to lay forms, so its going to be cement.
The cool thing is, they have made a huge mound in the back that is a lot of the scraped off top-soil. If it is still there after they start pouring cement, I may offer to haul it off a pickup load at a time!!
Happy hunting all.
