Default My New Garrett GTP1350

Hi all,
I have only had this 1350 for a couple days and gave a real bad critique on it on the General Discussions Forum. I think the detector and I were having a hard time getting aquainted. My first day detecting the sand along a river produced nothing but a sore arm from swinging the heavy thing. Today with a little help from my buddy Chuck at Treasure Hut and a different attitude, the detector and I finally shook hands. Inbetween the Northwest raindrops I went to the fair grounds that have been heavily detected. Now this isn't much but it is a start, in two hours I found 18 coins and two arcade tokens, all new stuff but the average depth was three inches. Strapping the battery pack on my belt was a real arm pleaser. (I'm a slow learner) Anyway..I hope I can start getting into the jewelry and older coins like the rest of you so I can start putting on some pictures. I am relocating to Tampa Florida this winter and hope to find a lot of good stuff on the beaches.
Carl

It will only get better as you and the machine become as one.
Chuck is always willing to help anyone with anything.
He would help people even if they got their equipment somewhere else.
That is the kind of sponsor that makes T.Q. so superior to all other forums.

I couldn't agree with you more. Chuck and I had a nice talk this morning via telephone. I am hoping to get him down to Florida in the next few month for some detecting

Bill, I need as many friends as I can get, mechanical or otherwise
That picture you see of me on this post was taken about two miles from where I am moving to in Florida. Does that look like good detecting sand or what?

It looks like great sand, and I bet you plan on working it to death He He !!
Carl, learn that 1350 real good, so you can get all the coins and rings out of that sand, but save some for your friends..

Take Care,
Bill G

If you are in Florida or close you can count on it. I will be there in August for a few days. If you are in the Tampa area maybe we could meet for coffee or something.
