Default Doing the happy dance! (Added Pics)

I haven't posted my finds recently because I cannot seem to get the pics sized properly to post so I've sorta given up. But I JUST HAD TO POST TODAY!!!

My hubby recently got his ACE250 and has had his eye on a place to hunt. Even though this place is normally off limits to detectors he did receive verbal permission from the head honcho. Since he is more the newbie than I am we decided to work as a team. He was swinging the stock coil and I had a sniper which I have found to be fabulous for pinpointing. In the front area of this property we found what looks to be a brass buckle, about 1" x 1". In the rear of the property we found a lead bullet, with 1 ring around it and a brass ring. I cannot tell if this is jewelry or a mechanical part.

Then my husband gets a reading of a nickel at about 2 inches and calls me over to pinpoint. I dug a coin, actually about 1" down, wiped it a little, and to my surprise a V showed up!!! WOHOOOO!!!! I started doing the happy dance. Having seen the liberty nickels on the forums I knew we had an old coin. My hubby said he had never heard of it before. We brought it home and cleaned it up a little to find the date. Looks like a 1902. I was hoping we broke into the 1800's but I guess this is close! I've been hoping for a buffalo but I never expected to find this. It is well worn but the marks are definitely readable. You gotta love this hobby!

Well I think the hubby got hooked today too!

Good job! I would use soap and water on old nickels! They may start to pit.

Nice finds. I've found a couple of V nickels. Despite the fact that they don't hold up well in the ground, they are exciting none the less. Good luck and happy hunting!

Wow, how exciting!!! Be honest, though. You really planted all of that stuff just so your hubby would get hooked right away, didn't you?!?!

It sure looks like you have an awesome site, there. Your husband knows how to pick 'em. Congratulations!!
