Default How much money in the ground?

I always knew people spilled money in the ground, but never realized just how much there was, it is mind-boggling to stop and think about. I'm not sure if anyone ever even tried to estimate what lies in the ground in just face value, let alone true value. I go to these parks, schools, old sites, and seems like each venture is 50+ coins if I go there multiple times, which is usually the case. Well have one more hobby that I will soon find out if I am $10,000 richer. I write and publish romantic poetry, and am a finalist for this. If anyone likes this kind of stuff here is the poem:

WISH ME LUCK!

The Life of Love

Life is love that is put into motion
Wife and Husband begins with vows of devotion
Born in this passion is an image of two
The next generation, ready to pass through
Deriving intelligence from all that we teach
Establishing the realm that this child may reach
Hungering in knowledge in all that we do
Grows an unwavering desire, to be similar to you
Our habits are mimicked, our outlook conveyed
On this a child's future is heavily weighed
Alone one day with just memories to scan
Stands a pillar of strength, with a future to plan
For those that gave this precious gift of a breath
Have entered a new life disguised as death
Gloriously awaiting through the eternities of love
The next generation sent down from above
Is it love that brings life, as our senses would tell
Or is it life that brings love equally well
Motion is love that is put into life
Through the vows of devotion of Husband and Wife

Very nice poem Good luck with it.

I wonder all the time about how much money is in the ground. I wish I could find one of those caches of gold or money that was hidden during the wars by the wealthy families in this area. I have read of several in Northern Virginia, would be nice to find one.

A beautiful poem. I hope you don't mind that I copied it and emailed it to my wife at her work place. Our daughter is there with her and I thought it would be touching for them both to read it at the same time. I hope I didn't do anything wrong by sending it.

As far as the $$ in the ground, we are a new country and there seems to be an endless supply in our ground. Can you imagine how much is in England or China or Japan?

Great poem! Did you enter the National Library of Poetry Contest? I entered that a couple of times, did not win anything, but got a couple of poems published in their anthology books.

As for coins in the ground. There is probably enough to feed all the children of the 3rd world countries several times over. I have been sticking all my finds in a couple of those plastic coffee cans, pennies in one, silver in another, both weigh, together, nearly 20 pounds, fifteen pounds just for the pennies alone!

Now, those are all found pennies. I have been sticking pennies in there since before I started using a metal detector, but since I started to use a detector, I have nearly doubled what was in the penny can!

I read somewhere a couple months ago that the us mint estimates that $115,000,000.00 in change is lost each year in the US........... And I like those numbers!

Default I can see why...

Your words made the final cut. I have always wanted to write poetry but each attempt reminds me to stick with other passions. Best of luck.
