Question Found in knee deep water 8" inches down.

I found this die cast (not iron) and painted Buick 8" down in knee deep water. First I found one of the cast wheels, saved it for examination later, then found the body. I did manage to locate one more wheel. It was tough in the water without a scoop. Anyhow anyone put a date on its manufacture?

Thanks a ton! Peter

That was the 'Mattel Hot Wheels' of the day.... Prior to the early 50's.

After then, the cast toy cars got thinner, more cheaply made,
and had much less detail.

In the early 60's & beyond, almost all kid toys were made from plastic.

That car is a mid-30's era Buick.
The toy reproduction of it was probably made a year or two later.
