Default Flying Eagle Penny

Hey, dudes, Paco gave me a call later this evening, "Dude, I called, Barb, and she said it would be awesome for us to detect tonight." My response, "Paco, that sounds like an awesome woman! Hmmm....do you want to hit the grassy knoll again?" Paco stated, "Heck yeah, you know, dude, these people are awesome landowners!"

So, we made a journey to the same farm that has been producing. After parking the vehicle, we sauntered our way to the field. During our walk, many cars drove by and each time one did, I acted like I was super important, with my detector on my shoulder. I even stated to my buddy, "We are cool, dude!"

Once we got to the relic field, we detected for about an hour with nada to show for. I then got a nice whisper of a sound in my relicphones, and the target turned out to be a square nail...yes, Minelab dudes, I dig everything! hahaha I re-checked my hole because, you know, I love dat iron, and was receiving a better siggy (signal)...after jabbing at the ground, acting tough, I plucked a nice gold plated button out....I yelled, "I love this hobby!" Paco stated, "I know you do and you are damn good at it!"

After the zoyton, it was, Paco's, turn to find the goods. His Classic ID (MXT is coming soon - thanks to, Mr. Howard, at White's) was yanking out some nice relics....he found a crotal bell and a spoon. Soon after, I got a nice siggy that was coin checking each time I pinpointed it, so I thought, "What the ***k, I guess I will dig it!" I am glad I did, because I was soon rewarded with a Flying Eagle penny....since there is no date, I am taking credit for 1856...hehehe. After observing my coin, we started to perform the Hokey-Pokey....because, you know, dudes, "That's what it's all about!" hehehe

That was it for the relic hunting day. It was another memorable day with my good friend...it will be a day to look back on.

*All relics were found on private property with total consent from the landowners.

I had more fun with the Hokey-Pokey. I just got my feet mixed up sometimes and almost fell on my face.

This field once contained a homestead in the 1850s-1880s. The newest coin out of this field is an 1873 IH. So far, we have found 4 coins here.

I will allow, Zoy, to post his great recovery tonight...coin #4.
