Default Todays I started a new project.

This morning I waited outside a dairy farmers home for a few minutes until about 5:30 when he came out. I introduced myself and told him a bit about my detecting hobby. Then I asked him if I could hunt on some nearby land he owned that has a 150 plus year old home and outbuildings still standing. I will be posting pictures of the site very soon but I wanted to show the finds I did get today and see if anyone can identify the object in the top left hand corner of the pic. How old do you think it is?

I surveyed the property for quite a while and took pics from all angles. Then I went and talked to a 67 year old man that I knew had been born in the house to get some info about the way things were laid out when he was a child. He showed me some pics of him very young in front of some of the structures. I only found clad today and don't know what this property might hold but I dug a bunch of junk today and I think that I learned something. My take on todays work is " You don't know what it is until you dig it up. Will keep you guys posted and show more pics next post.

Looks like your getting the hang of it. Keep hunting the area and I'm sure you'll find some silver. HH

I believe it is a "pot" pipe circa mid 70's could be much newer though, those darn retro kids, :).
