Default BigBill was right... This is my best find.

As many of you know a fellow detectrorist gave me a broken xlt about 2 weeks ago. I sent it out to White's on Monday 25 Jul 07 with instructions to fix it and authorized payment up to $250.00. After talking with them on the phone I got the impression I could trust them to do what it needed. I got up this morning and when I went to the front door a box was sitting on the porch that said White's on it. I was excited and like a kid tore it open. After putting it together I went outside and balanced it in the default coin mode and swung a few times around the yard. This is gonna be a whole new machine to learn but I can feel the power. The guys at the repair center ended up charging me $94.40 and $12.50 of that was to ship it back to me. They replaced the keypad, and the window, reattached the handle assy to the case, Performed a couple of mod's on the motherboard and tuned and tested it for me. So for just over 100 bucks I am now the proud owner of an XLT and will be looking to you fellow users for help. Thanks for being the best darn MD forum anywhere.

Good luck with your machine. I thought I was going to have one too but the deal fell through. Guess I'll have to see one of the sponsers to get my fix. Couple more dollars and the Ace is paid for. Never had a hobbie that did that before. In fact last hobbie I had I put a double mortgage on my house. LOL.

You'll love the XLT.. Congrats on the new machine...
I started of with a xlt several years ago.. and Although I never Mastered it.. I really liked it.
I never had the time to use it.. Then I sold it on ebay $700.00 and bought my Minelab..
